Watch Free Through Dec. 31st: The Man Card
To help make sense of a midterm election cycle that saw the gender gap widen and working-class white men continue their flight to the Republican Party, we’re streaming our new documentary The Man Card: White Male Identity Politics from Nixon to Trump for free through Dec. 31.
The film, created by acclaimed author Jackson Katz and directed by award-winning filmmakers Peter Hutchison (Requiem for the American Dream) and Lucas Sabean, traces the right’s deliberate, decades-long effort to win blue-collar white men by branding Democrats as soft and Republicans as tough-guy defenders of white male authority in the face of social, cultural, and economic change.
Watch The Man Card free now through the end of the month. To use the film in your classes for next semester and beyond, you can purchase a DVD copy or streaming subscription here.
