Troubleshooting Access to Your Streaming Films

Can’t Access Your Streaming Titles? Here’s Help!

Once you purchase digital or streaming access to our films on our platform, your My Films page will update to reflect your active subscriptions. However, if you’re having trouble accessing your purchase, please review the below information for help.

Individuals (Home-Use) and Individual Educators

After you complete your purchase, visit your My Films page to view all of your active streaming subscriptions. It may take up to one minute for new titles to appear. If you don’t see them immediately, try waiting a moment and refreshing your browser.

If you’re still unable to see your films, please try these troubleshooting steps:

    1. Make sure you are logged into your individual account: https://login.cadmore.media/MediaSiteLogin?applicationId=b630d368-8a16-4e65-8537-2ab61d609eb6&loginProfileId=9a8b14c3-becc-4656-b522-41e73ee7bb67&register=false&returnurl=https://films.mediaed.org/
    2. Use the search bar to find the film title.
    3. Select the film you’ve purchased.
    4. The video should automatically load. Enjoy!

Single Title Streaming Licenses (Institutional-Use)

If you make a purchase for any of our institutional streaming licenses and don’t yet have an active account with us, we’ll be reaching out to you within two business days with set-up instructions to ensure campus-wide access.

If your institution already has an account with us (many universities and colleges already do!), access should be immediate. In most cases, you’ll be automatically logged in if you’re on campus. Please visit your My Films page to view your institution’s active subscriptions.

If you’re unable to access your films, follow these steps:

    1. Make sure you are logged into your institutional account: https://films.mediaed.org/Login
    2. Use the search bar to find the film title.
    3. Select the film you’ve purchased.
    4. The video should automatically load. Enjoy!

If you are off-campus and unable to access your films, your institution may require a VPN or proxy login. If issues persist, please reach out to your institution’s library or IT department, or contact us for further assistance.

MEF Collection Subscriptions (Institutional-Use)

If you’ve purchased a MEF Collection subscription, thank you! This is one of the best ways for institutions to maximize their budgets while directly supporting our mission as a fiercely independent non-profit distributor and producer of educational documentaries. We appreciate your support!

After you place your order, you’ll receive a confirmation email within two business days with activation details and set-up instructions for both on-campus and off-campus access. Once that’s set up, anyone in your institution should be able to visit their My Films page on the MEF platform to view the titles included in your licensed collection.

If you’re having trouble accessing films in your collection:

  • Make sure you are logged into your institutional account: https://films.mediaed.org/Login
  • If issues persist, please reach out to us directly for personalized assistance — we’re happy to help!
