As right-wing extremist groups continue to spread across the U.S. and around the world, there’s a growing need for educational resources to help counter the politics of hate.

Healing From Hate tells the engrossing and ultimately inspiring story of Life After Hate, a group of former Skinheads and neo-Nazis who are now working on the front lines to de-radicalize violent extremists and transform racist attitudes.

On Thursday, October 22, 2020, MEF hosted a panel discussion on violent extremism, white male grievance, and transforming racist attitudes. The panel featured Sammy Rangel, one of the co-founders of Life after Hate, a nonprofit organization founded by former Skinheads and neo-Nazis now engaged in de-radicalizing violent extremists on the front lines. Julius Long, co-founder of Lil Afrika Mentoring & Resource Center, and Dr. Heidi Beirich, co-founder of Global Project Against Hate and Extremism, also joined the panel. The event was moderated by Peter Hutchison, the director of Healing From Hate.
