What is Your Pricing Method for Institutions and Organizations?
MEF is aware that many schools and organizations are on tight budgets and have to come up with creative solutions to purchase our films.
For that, we say THANK YOU for supporting us! MEF survives primarily on institutional film sales, and these sales allow us to continue to produce and distribute cutting-edge films.
Our pricing methods reflect extensive market research spanning over 35 years, informing our cost decisions of AV materials for institutions, libraries, and non-profits. The MEF Platform provides options such as 14 day, 4-month, and 1, 3, & 5 year streaming subscriptions to meet a variety of needs and budgets. Our shorter term streaming options are often less expensive than a DVD or Digital Site License. Please note that most formats include non-theatrical, educational screening rights, so you may hold campus screenings without an additional charge.
If you’d like to see how you can create your own quote for single titles, jump to this page.
Below you will see what will appear for you on a films page as you add the license to your cart. Based on who the purchase is for (individual vs. institution) and the customer type, it will determine the price of the format of the selected film.

Is discounted pricing available?
We offer discounts off the list price for community colleges, high schools, nonprofits/NGOs, individual educators/teachers, churches & religious organizations. In addition, we are also committed to supporting HBCUs by offering a substantial discount — approximately 50% off — on all of our products, including streaming licenses and DVDs. These special discounts are built directly into the cost. You will see the variance in price based on how you make your selection in the Licensing Options on any films page (like the screenshot from earlier).
If you’re interested in licensing an MEF collection, please contact us for a custom quote — we’re happy to work with you to find the best option for your school. Please note that our collection pricing reflects the size of your school, which is determined by undergraduate levels of full time enrollment.
