Western Massachusetts Internship Network
The Western Massachusetts Internship Network (WMIN) connects interns and fellows serving at national organizations around Western Massachusetts to expand and deepen their internship experience. WMIN brings students from diverse organizations together for professional development, organizing and technology skill building, and nonprofit leadership training. A collaboration between Free Press, United Republic, Media Education Foundation and National Priorities Project, WMIN works to create transformative experiences and also to strengthen the voice of students within organizations with an eye toward building the next generation of nonprofit leaders.
WMIN Goals:
- Foster more community/connections between nonprofit organizations and students across Western Massachusetts
- Leverage shared resources and expertise, provide new opportunities for students, and better prepare them to be innovative nonprofit leaders
- Identify intersections and opportunities for collaborations across organizations and issues
- Provide youth leaders around the valley with more support, capacity building, and professional development opportunities
