Michael Kimmel is a sociologist and author who has received international recognition for his work on men and masculinity. He is the author of four books on masculinity including AGAINST THE TIDE: PRO-FEMINIST MEN IN THE UNITED STATES, 1776-1990. Kimmel is National Spokesperson for the National Organization for Men Against Sexism (NOMAS) and is active in preventing men’s violence against women.
