Sut Jhally is a professor of Communication at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and founder and Executive Director of the Media Education Foundation in Northampton. He has written broadly on issues of popular representation and is regarded as one of the world's leading cultural studies scholars in the area of advertising, media, and consumption.
